Here's the ninth chapter of Conversion, where the first signs of clear progress on the part of our heroes get somewhat waylaid by an emerging enemy. (I'm trying to keep it vague for spoiler reasons)

This whole story is something I started a while ago, not realizing it would become what it has. At some point when it's finished I'll give another editing pass for quality and consistency of style and maybe put together a collected edition, but here it is in its original form. Any feedback for when full edits come would be appreciated.
