I'll have to experiment with the watercolors.
I dont tend to put much damage or inking on my tau stuff, as I'm partial to the contrast their smooth and clean looks give agianst most other armies. I have seen nice results with some simple oil coats (Japan colors), but I've not had a chance to try them yet.
