The gentlemanly, top-hatted gator had quite a long reign as my avatar, but it was time to retire him back home to Florida along with all the other alligators and retirees. (Found him on a T-shirt in Orlando's Gatorland - a mandatory side trip whenever I go to DisneyWorld.)

Came across this guy at the Tysons Corner MegaMall in Virginia, in a newly installed VR attraction called "The Void." (https://www.thevoid.com/) Their premiere attraction is an immersive Jumanji experience based on the recent movies. There were several animal cards to choose from, representing the character you become in the game. I chose this fellow of course, which turned me into... Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson! (There are "mirrors" in the room where the game starts where you can see yourself as the character you've become...AND GODDAMMIT, WHEN ARE THEY GONNA INVENT A VR GAME WHERE THAT REFLECTION SHOWS YOU AS AN ANIMAL?!?!?! They'd make a $FORTUNE$ off us furs!!!)

ADDENDUM:
My partner  furio chose the rhino card and became Kevin Hart - who had the power to speak to animals, which came in handy when we were confronted by (very handsome!) crocs and lions. They offered him advice which helped us navigate the game. While I would've enjoyed having a conversation with a close relative of my spirit animal, I was able to beat the sh*t out of several ghosts who blocked our way with my Rock-hard fists.
