*chuckles* I don't play THAT much WoW. I kind of go through phases - I play enough to have decent gear, but I only just got my Epic achievement, even though I've been 80 for a month or two or so.
Yeah, I did this over 3 days, mostly. Really wanted to get it done before I go away for a few days to visit a friend.

Maybe I'll come back to Azeroth someday when I know I can control myself... I was at university when I played, and failed about four courses before I had to put a stop to it.
I still had a hell of a time, though. I was probably one of the best mages on my server. :P 5k+ DPS FTW.

Oh g'eez, that's brutal o_O I would have hated myself if that happened. Tuition at my university isn't exactly cheap :S
That's sweet :D Mages are a generally easy class to play, but it always boggles me how many crappy ones there are. 5k is pretty nice! I pull about 4k-4.5k as a shadow priest, although I feel kinda crappy because there are people who pull like 7k-10k+ nowadays o_O

I haven't really done any collabs except for one or two!
Stuff like collabs and trades I consider to be free, because both sides are putting in work. I can't do any trades right now as I'm backlogged as it is :S However, I could try out some sort of trade thing! Not sure how it would work though - you could draw and I could colour or vice versa? Something with one of my characters, and one of yours?

Probably Ash. She's polymorphic, and doesn't have a species for her feline form, but basically kind of a cross between a tiger and a lynx. Designed to be an assassin, and is a powerful mage. Here's a bunch of different references:

She sometimes uses a sword (looks like a Chinese straight sword/jian, but it really doesn't matter) and can use magic and stuff, if that gives you any fun ideas. Generally a very expressive character - can be very ferocious, or very cuddly-cute.
I'll hang on to your pic for future colouring reference. So I guess you can sketch up whatever idea you like :3

Have to agree with everyone else: This has a breathtaking amount of realism. All your druid pieces have been great, but this one has to be my favorite. Without exaggeration, it could easily pass as a stillframe from Avatar or one of the Narnia movies. I've even started wondering if you might not be a Hollywood concept artist.

For one, I need to be proficient in a variety of media which I'm not (they want someone who can do at least 3 or 4 of the following: draw, sculpt, 3D sculpt, animate, 3D animate, etc. and I can really only just do one :( ) But secondly, they need to be able to pump out tons of sketches, which just isn't my forte :b ^^;

mhh well yeah, the white and black one is pretty cool, but they just look cool and strong, while the original nightelf cat looks cool, strong and yet sooo beautiful and cute :) besides, I could hardly share such a wonderful moment with it :)

I can safely say I have not once seen any better, or more realistic, representation of a Night Elf Druid's cat form. I honestly don't even think Blizzard could compete with this. Many kudos to you, Jocarra, such talent does not go unnoticed. In particular the slight shade and tonal differences in the fur. Just completely epic.

Awwwwws! Soooo adorable. Wish I could have a giant kitty to snuggle with. They both look so happy and content too! Wonderful work on this one as well. As a testiment to that, it took me forever to scroll down through all the positive comments hehe.

Aww :3 Thanks so much! And yeah, I've always sort of liked bigger dogs for that reason - you can be so much more physical with them, give 'em big hugs and stuff, that you can't do with small animals. I can only assume it would sorta be like that with bigger cats, too.
...although it'd be just my luck if I got a big kitty, and it was the kind of cat that randomly liked to try to swat your face off XD

I hafta come back and commnent on this piece again. Its just so beautiful and wonderfully smoothed. Yes, we know its in game graphics slid over a real phot, but the person and the nightsaber there look like they're in the same picture, and that both of them are taking up space. A lot of love and care went into this, into the lighting, and the texture smoothing of the game graphics, the coloring of the lighting... and the expressions are magnificant too. Simply breath-taking. I think I'm going to print this out and tape it up on my wall, its just too darling to NOT have on my wall where I can look at it all the time. I hope you don't mind!

Haha, nah, was just sorta funny X3 But all seriousness, thank you so much for the super-kind words. It's very reassuring, especially when sometimes I struggle with motivation or confidence. It's really nice to know that, even if I feel crappy about my art, there are people out there who genuinely get something out of it :)
Also, I really love the paws. There's something so comforting about huge kitty paws. Reminds me that I used to want panthers and tigers as pets when I was younger because they just look so comfortable to snuggle up with. Imagine having a domestic cat the size of a tiger or even half that size (aside from the craziness of them playing and wrecking everything at their CURRENT size XD) and just deep rumbling kitty purrs and soft kneading paws. Something to cuddle with at night or curl up in front of the fire on a cold winter night. So nice.
I -totally- agree. I have a total paw fetish XD Like, not sexual or anything, I just think cat paws in particular have this awesome, soothing, almost therapeutic aesthetic to them. So pillowy!
Yeah, small things are super adorable, but I like the FEEL of big things for the same reason - I like being able to cuddle up with something, give it big hugs and play with it and stuff. If you try to get that physical with a little animal, you risk just crushing it ;b although little animals have their own advantages :D

I wanted to thank you for posting this artwork. This, like the others similar - showing the interaction between two of much different physiology - evoke some very profound feelings in me. My first cougar, now nearly 30-years-ago, and I used to sleep together on "his bed". The memories bring back profoundly fond feelings of joy and contentment, and while I'm a bit biased, your artwork [series] has captured those feelings most adequately. Thank you.
Awww, that's super sweet <3 I've sort of wanted to get a lynx or bobcat at some point, but I know how serious of an investment that is - all the special effort and care that is needed for them to be happy and healthy - so my resources have never allowed it. I know some people are hard on owners who want exotic pets just because they're "cool," and then end up being terrible caretakers :b I wouldn't want to add to their numbers, and leave an animal wanting.
