OK ok ok, at first I didn't wanna watch the show. Normally not
into British shows but Charlotte got me hooked watching Doctor Who.
I finished watching (mew)season 1 on netflix. Wouldn't it have sucked if
this had happened? =D Though I was really happy bout the real ending,
even tho it was a tad corny.. >> like the show tends to be!
Onto Season two.. tho I already know I like season 1's Doctor better x_x
You most likely won't find this funny unless Youve seen the show >>

Your hallucinaions will start talkin' to you after the third day, you'll start listenin' on the fourth, just DON'T listen to them after the fifth!!! They get MEAN!!!
And all Doctors have their great moments, though haven't seen any of the 11th Doctor yet... My tv's dead!!!

Honestly, I really liked Eccleston as the ninth doctor. While each actor brings something different to the table, I always felt that Eccleston looked like that if he got mad enough, he'd start whooping some ass. Tennant's doctor pissed me off after the x-mas special, when he got all emo over the alien ship being destroyed, as they were leaving.
A vagrant wizard and an assortment of human companions travel all of time and space looking for neat things to do and usually finding people to help. In the recent relaunch, that translates into a lot of London and a lot of fleeing. The tone of the show varies wildly from episode to episode. The science is as soft as Star Trek's, which is to say don't think too hard about the technobabble.
Rose (the first episode of the new version) is designed for people who've never seen the show. If you want to jump in somewhere else, I'd recommend The Empty Child, Smith & Jones, or The Unicorn & The Wasp.

Meh I never got into Dr Who, and I'm originally from London, I watched it every now and then is a kid, but my sister has a phobia towards robots so when the Daleks began showing up she sort of freaked, and her being the older sister I had to submit into watching whatever she wanted.
Might try to get into it again... meh.

Personally, I think the 9th had a personality that was a bit like a mental patient on an overdose of happy pills. Tennant's Doctor had a flair that I liked, as well as the excess energy of the previous Doc, although he made him an awful lot more intelligent seeming. Quite geeky :D As for No. 11... well, we'll have to see. Give him a few episodes and he might warm up a bit when he's finished fixing the TARDIS. Stupid time-lord needs to stop breaking things.
Hehehe! :3

I'm British and I hate most British shows, aside from our decent comedies. X3 I watch Doctor Who because it's sorta compulsory, but it's really really hit and miss and the first new series was prolly the bests. There are some good episodes to come (the library planet two parter is probably the best by far) but virtually every season finale or two parter written by Russel T. Davis is awful. Thankfully he's gone now and it's gonna be written by Steven Moffat, who did... that library episode. ou, and the one with the gas mask children (you woulda seen that one)~
I wasn't sure about David Tennant at first. I really liked the first season Doctor (The ninth Doctor, I believe) and didn't like the change. After a few episodes, though, I fell in love with the guy and can't imagine anyone else being the Doctor. Also, hate Rose. I do, very, very much.
I'm the definitive geek when it comes to Doctor Who. I'm even on the committee of my University's Doctor Who society, which has more members than all the political societies combined. :D
Ecclescake was a great Doctor, but I confess that all my fave moments are Tennant (the guy in season 2-4) based. Just wait until you get to season 4... my favourite companion EVER!! <3 But season 2 does have some good moments in it too. Fear Her and The Impossible Planet are two of my faves. :3

Humm, I like the second one better but that's just me =P
My mate has me watching tons of British comedies so that I kinda get tired of them. So I complain when I watch Dr. Who but I secretly love it, Shhh =3
Alot of the ending of the second Dr. (you probly won't get to that soon, it's for another two or so seasons) kind of gets a bit confusing... since we've seen most of the old OLD Dr. Who stuff we understood most of the references they made but even we got a bit lost.

My brother has always been the biggest dork in my life. He killed Star Wars for me more or less and much of Star Trek, as well as several book series due to giving me consistent play-by-play analysis after each session against my will.
But the Doctor kinda broke that trend. Really, REALLY good stuff. David Tennant whom you'll get to know soon is brilliant. I hope you enjoy :3
