A breeze ran through long blades of grass, like a wave of green, but accentuated under the violet starlight filling the night sky. Meredith sat, eyes fixed on each glistening speck filling the heavens as far as the sky would stretch. Not often did she get to appreciate such a view when on the clock, gazing through a lens at each clusters and every corner of the cosmos. But here she had peace, to sit watching, drifting in thoughts of those distant bodies. How small she was to those stellar beacons, and how lucky she was to be able to study them as her dream job. One day, if only by a whimsical fantasy, there'd be visitation to those celestial bodies, or maybe even visitors here. Silly dreams and hopeful fantasies, but her dream brought her here, so why not out there, if only someday.
