Part of a project that I'm digging into.
The idea is to produce a real RTS worth playing, instread of these shoody, crap Remakes of good titles.
(I'M LOOKING AT YOU RED ALERT 3!)
The idea is a simple humans VS aliens fight over earth, in a near future setting.
This is one of the units planned. Slightly higher 'level 'than the basic human tech, it's a lightly armoured vehicle, capable of being reconfigured to fill out specialised roles on the battlefield.
And now, Some fluff:
The Carlton is powered by a hybrid fuel/electric system, Comprised of a Rotary drive petrol powerplant, used to charge a hydrogen power storage cell. This then drives the Vehicle's two powerful drive motors.
It has a standard crew of three, being the Driver, Gunner and Commander, and the APC variant may carry eight more troops.
The troop entry point is the front, and the highly armoured troop hatch opens to form a deployment ramp.
The drivers 'cockpit' functions in the same way.
It should be noted that the armour is designed to combat the 'Alien Threat'.
