An attempt at mandrill facepaint and a hint of realism. Human faces are strange beneath animal faces.

Though, I did find this. I wonder how recent that research is?
"Both the Mandrill and the Drill were once classified as baboons in genus Papio, but recent research has determined that they should be separated into their own genus, Mandrillus. The Mandrill is the world's largest species of monkey."

Yup ^^ Many people make that mistake. I learned they were more closely related to Drill, not baboons. They are of the same family, but the names are all different. Just like cats. You have tigers, leopards and lions, all cats, but different names. Related some how, but still different. ^_^ I love Mandrill, they aren't as bad as baboons are when it comes to being vicious >>
I'm wondering though if the research is recent enough that when I learned about Mandrills, they were still called baboons. That would make me feel better (and also seems likely, as I'm usually good about this kind of stuff).
Huzzah for the usefullness of Wikipedia. I heard a news story the other day that argued "What's the point if everything comes from google anyway?" But it's organized!

Lmao!!! Yeah Wiki is awesome. I talked to someone a few months back, and she kept talking about Drills and baboons. But not about mandrills. So I started to talk about them, she had no idea what I meant, and when I showed her a picture, she told me it was a baboon. I told her no, it's a relative, but not a baboon. Showed her Wiki, boy was she mad at me. I was in grade ten when I learned they were not baboons. I looked it up after watching Ace Ventura 2 for the zillionth time and wanted to know what that monkey was, not thinking it was a baboon. Lol.
