You can find the time lapse here https://youtu.be/Nya3iN4iK5U
Started playing Pokemon Sword and I had to make some fanart of the three pokemon I knew for sure I wanted on my team. I’m on my way to the third gim but I already have all three, I love my babies! On a side note, while I was uploading the time lapse, I got Sobble on a surprise trade and I now have all three of my starter babies, truly this is a blessed pic! \ ( º3º)/

Thanks for the fav! Yeah I recently came upon an artist that has these amazing action sketches and it reminded me that this was something I used to do back when I was doing comics (in the 90’s), so I began studying it again and thinking of ways to implement it into a rendered illustration.
I also took the chance to study up energy effects like the beam and the fireball, the beam is meh but I do like how the fireball ended up. I had some impact effects on the shield as well but those ended up being too distracting and made the image harder to read so I removed them.
Was surprisingly quick as well, 23 hours total for one of my best pieces and a fairly complex one too with 3 characters, motion blurs, special effects and multiple light sources.

Gotta say 23 hours is good timing on a piece like this. I also saw the timelapse and was very impressed with your process as well. Hmm. I should look into implementing motion blur and effects into my pieces at some point in the future, would definitely be helpful if I went back into animation. But for now it's Perspective, scenery, more expressive poses and character interaction I'm going to be focusing on at the beginning of next year.
Broh, broh, broh.. I got a sobble while I was uploading the video, now I have all 3 starters \ ( °3°)/
And I’m saving Inteleon for a future pic, I already have a good idea of what I want to do with him. Primarina was my favorite starter in the last gen and I wanna do a pic of those two dancing together.
.. just don’t don’t ask how I’ll make a dancing scene with a pokemon that has no legs, I still haven’t crossed that bridge.
Thanks for the fav btw.
