Wow.....it's been months since the last time I uploaded here, so I'll start bringing more art in^^

During this past weekend I had entered into the Battle of the Arts 2010: Olympic College Edition competition at the Creative 360 (formerly known as the Creative Spirit Center in Midland, MI. Students from local colleges and universities were invited to enter the contest. Each artist or groups had to create artworks or performance pieces in a 3-hour time period. The theme for the artworks was "Higher, Faster, Stronger"-the Olympic theme. As long as it sticks with the theme, anything works.

For 3 hours this is what I ended up with. I had never painted eagles or any anthro characters before so this is the first time I've done it. I'm somewhat satisfied that I managed to get that much done, though it is still under-developed. After pondering about the theme one of the things that came to my mind was the eagle since I felt it has those characteristics, but to spice things up a little more I decided on a buff eagle anthro^^. I'm still working on the anatomy since it is very complex to draw or paint >_<

Even though I didn't win anything I had a great time and enjoyed the challenge and experience^^. The artwork was auctioned off for $50.
