Sonia looked at herself and gasped. She couldn't believe what Professor Magnolia's experiment has done to her. "GRANDMOTHER! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!" Magnolia chuckled, "Just some Pokémon-splicing. I know you love your Yamper, I thought this would be a fun so you can connect to him. Seems like it worked. How bad can it be?"

Honestly, a pretty disappointing Pokemon game for a few reasons, but I do like Sonia.
