remember when i said i wanted to do some stories without inflation as the focus? well, here's my first attempt at that.

unlike what i've done previously, this'll be a more serious work with multiple chapters and strong continuity. basically like a regular fanfic more than a fetish fic, if you will. if you have no interest in anything i do that's unrelated to inflation, go ahead and skip this (though i'm probably going to include it sparingly in later chapters, because i can't resist)

anyways, this story follows Belose, a Braixen whose clan follows a tradition of sending their young into the savage wilderness to prove their worth as pyromancers. the strong are expected to return home and the weak are expected to perish; follow Belose on her week-long trial of survival, braving an unforgiving desert at day and haunting visions at night. each chapter will focus on one particular day in her journey, with this prologue serving as an intro to the setting and characters.

as always, constructive criticism is encouraged. if there's anything i can do to improve my writing, i welcome it.

on a different subject, my next story will be centered around inflation, and it'll also be Christmas-related. i want to know what characters people might wish to see in that story:
Bubble the Lopunny
Sylveon and Gardevoir
Carina the Primarina
...or an entirely new cast and setting!
