Commercialism really did kill Xmas, after all. Birthed from a time when the world was literally out to kill you. The nights were so cold and scary. Not knowing if tomorrow will bring death or starvation. Not knowing if some scary disease will arrive. So desperate for anything positive that this Christmas idea is like the only beacon of hope to cling to.

Now, the Japanese put up gaudy decor in festive colors and eat KFC to celebrate American Festive Day.

*hugs* yeah for me Xmas is more greed these days a lot of people still do good but i only see what shown on the tv and what not Halloween has not come and shops have Xmas stuff on the shelves it make me feel sad relly

By working in retail, I get to see a ton of it. Not to mention that music. Special tunes, meant for that one night or a week before, max. It just starts up right after Halloween ends. It is all just too much. I mean...Kris Kringle. St. Nick. Real people that gave of themselves to the poorest of the poor. It's all been washed into this muck of lore about greed over needing the latest advertised thing that...well...let's just say that Macy's Rudolph and Coked up Santa are these symbols of pure corruption. No wonder I call the red suited one Satan's Claws. That's what it feels like to me. An undercurrent of greed, misery and suffering to propagate the acquiring of shallow items.
