it's the reason I wanted this base so badly was because of this jet! I've loved it since I was a kid, and now that I get to work on it, it's like a dream come true. There are many problems with it that do get a bit tedious, but overall I love my job. The best part is doing one of the jobs I gotta do, have to get real high on the vertical stab, and check a couple parts up there. Being that high up, and looking down at the rest of the jet is amazing.

And I'd also be lying if I didn't sit in the flight deck pretending to be a pilot. :o

It never snowed like this while I was there. Just a very very light dusting once.

We had sooo much snow that year. That's not even the worse of it, Bossier and some other places around Shreveport got around 6".

We had gotten 16" on Christmas eve, then about 6" a month later. Don't think we got any in February.

I'm not in the Air Force anymore. I left in July 2005 (early discharge - general under honorable), mainly because I got an article 15 because I forgot to document that I took out the SV9007 filter box so that they could put in a new pitot tube when the aircraft was in phase (stupid person that was with me was too much of a hurry to get back to the shop to go to lunch and said that we could get it after lunch, and I was about to go to the hanger office to write it down, which I wound up forgetting to do... I should have taken him down with me in retrospect, but at the time I didn't want to get anyone else in trouble).

Haha, yes. I do. You should also know William Gensch, Isenhour, Daniel Hill and a few other people from the shop I'm bomb/nav! When you said the SV9007, I was like... you have to be :O

I know Isenhour, he was there a couple months before I came to Barksdale (he graduated from tech school at Sheppard AFB around August 2002 or so. I don't know if I remember William and Daniel or not.

Also, Isenhour friended me on facebook, asked how I was doing, then decided to unfriend me after that... GRRR!

Come to think of it, those two names do seem familiar.

William became Ssgt and then lost it after getting a DUI, and Daniel well... He's just Daniel. lol

He had a Corvette, dunno if he had it when you were there. But he was at Barksdale since about 04ish, backshop the whole time.

Yup, both Will and Dan were in the backshop. Will was probably making fun of Ball at the time. And Dan, I can't really explain who he is... He's just him. lol He thinks he's the best at fixing the jet, but can't do it.

I'm normally on once a day. I'm friends with a popular av builder, so I try to help with her whenever possible. She lives in Bossier.
