I think so, too! :D This is actually the second time I have drawn Darius for
hom.nom.nom around Christmas time with candy cane teeth. xD I love it.

I know a lot of useless facts like that for some reason. :p
Back to the subject of saber toothed cats, it must be really awkward for an anthro one to have such massive teeth like that considering they are able to talk and all... want to imagine an anthro one having [slightly] smaller ones as part of their evolution because they don't get in the way as much.

I like to think of furries as actual live cartoon characters that can get away with things that don't abide by our laws of physics. xD
Like how most cartoons, the character, while talking, will have teeth, then not have teeth. If you've ever watched Spongebob Squarepants (one of my favorite cartoons), he has two gapped, buck teeth which turn into a full row of teeth and then no teeth while talking. xD
Also, think about Diego and the other sabers from Ice Age. He has very long canines, since he is a saber tooth, and it works! He has somewhat of a cool speech impediment because of them, though.

I do agree that anthro creatures are like living cartoon characters, yet my explanation for why that happens to be is far more complex than that. :p
Could go into such great detail as to why I think this, but in short, it has to do with anthros being evolved versions of standard animals, where in their world, an evolutionary miracle has occurred millions of years ago for them to possess traits that mimic humanity, in so resembling the animal they evolved from, where many of their former instincts have become vestigial in this process.
Remnants of those former instincts can be found in things like their society, culture, language, and behaviors being ones that humans will find strange, even cartoonish.
Can elaborate in saying their appearances are cartoonish, in the example of an anthro dog side-by-side with a standard dog of the same breed, where there are so many differences you can see in just their faces alone, for the anthro appears more like a cartoon (human-like eyes, facial symmetry, having heads of hair, eyebrows, more prominent lips, altered teeth structure , etc.)
This may be the strangest thing you have ever seen anyone say, but the reason as to why I arrived at this conclusion came from a dream... I not only got to see a world where anthro creatures reign, but was also educated by one.
