During the boat ride Susan was re-assured by the staff that they were here to help her and. She also had her makeshift bandage replaced with a new one. After it docked she was transported using a special trolly intended for the transportation of sharks before being dumped into a new body of water. Peering up she saw that it was the indoor Public Pool and saw some equipment set up around the pool, as well as people in Hazmat suits walking about, two of them with sub machine guns. A underwater music player was playing Perry Como's Magic Moments which put her at easy. One of the staff members tossed her a Bikini top and something which she was told was an undergarment for her nether regions, which she quickly put on.

She submerged again when she saw Evelyn be unloaded, with five more sharkgirls following soon after. She had a brief exchange with her on what was to be done. Both had their conserns, but they eventually came to the conclusion that the best thing to do at the moment was to go along with what they were doing.

A trio of divers went into the pool. One of them pulled up a message board telling the sharkgirls inside the pool that they were data fathering. They took a few photographs and measurements, asked them to bear their teeth, had them swim across the length of the pool, checked their heart rates and reflexes and so forth. Eventually they were asked to provide blood samples so, among other things, they could see if a cure was possible. The sharkgirls agreed, with Susan going first.
