My gryphon musician Ballad Quill uses his magically enhanced hearing to listen to multiple songs at once. This is one of the reasons Ballad lives in the city, so he can hear all the new music being performed.
Ballad is sitting in his third-story loft apartment above the Zoho Cafe. Here's the exterior of the building:

The furniture in the background isn't used by Ballad, but by his human roommate and musical partner, Sondrew Hayne. Ballad's nest and and the large window by which he enters and leaves the apartment are on the opposite side of the room (the direction Ballad is facing.)
