A week ago, one of my friends online mentioned an era that I hadn't taken Charvale yet, that of the wild west. Where men lived (and died) by the actions of their hands and the ammo in their guns. So when he mentioned that he'd like to see Charvale in a more western motif, I thought long and hard about what my character would wear, and how he would act.
Unfortunately, I doubted that he would change his ways just because there were miles of desert between him and the next town. So I reasoned that he'd most likely be wanted for messing around with a mayor's daughter, or wife, or both, and having a posse after him. Now with all this information under my belt I reasoned what he would use for a weapon, because lord knows that if you didn't have one in this era you died rather quickly.
As you can see, I doubted that he'd use a pistol, or rifle (although he might have the latter just for emergencies) but would use knives or daggers. Thus this picture was born. I'll admit that my picture is sort of a homage to my favorite western "El Dorado" with John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, and James Caan. My favorite character in there was "Mississippi" who killed a man in a bid for revenge with a knife. The character was played by James Caan, and had to be one of the best roles he'd ever played.
