Back to the canon story of me and Meika, look at how happy she is to be with me and having fun. Just the way it's meant to be. Also pay close attention to the Tag x Tamira moments along with the Sonny x Mia ones.

Preparing for a Party
But before those could happen, two things needed to be done fist. Nicholas called a meeting with Meika and the others to talk about this. “So as you know, the parties before the racing season are fast approaching,” the husky stated. “I may as well as tell you where the first one will happen. It will be at the mansion my parents live at.”
As soon as he said that, everyone got why he had talked to Danny about that project being done. “So that’s why, I had my suspicions,” Meelo said. “Now it makes sense.”
“So we’ll be heading to your folk’s house?” Tamira asked.
“That’s right,” Nicholas answered. “I told you my family has quiet the fortune. A bit has helped me with getting this place but the rest was on me. Our mansion estate is perfect for such a party like this. We’ve done a number for racing events and charity to. Even Mr. Mane and King who’ll be at it have done their part by helping with the expenses. And that bike Danny and his crew are making is just one of the highlights of that party with one lucky winner getting it in a drawing.”
“That sounds awesome!” Meika commented.
“Glad you think so. You’ll like my parents as they will be there. My younger brother to and of course my racing friends you’ve met so far. However I think some of the others who you haven’t met yet will be there. I don’t know about the others you’re familiar with like Axel if he’ll be there. The guest list is still being figured out. Even if it had been my parents, Mr. Mane, and King will worry about that. All I have to do is make sure you guys are ready for it.”
“And how will we?” Sonny asked.
“By taking you guys out for outfits and helping you get ready to dance.”
Tag got a look of dread. “Oh no… no, no, no,” he groaned. Miles actually chuckled.
“You’re just like your parents,” the owl said. “Your mother loved to get dressed but hated to dance. Your father Riq could dance but he hated dressing up. But when they really had to, they were able to do so. You can to.”
“It’s not like racing,” Tamira then commented. Everyone was a little surprised by her supporting of the tiger. “Dancing is nothing compared to that.”
“Easy for you to say!” Tag insisted. He was also freaking out in his head because the guy had a vision of dancing with the pantheress.
“Look it won’t be that bad,” Nicholas told him. “The dancing won’t be say the ballroom kind. All you have to do is sway back and forth, maybe move a little fast and that’s it. I’ve been to these before so I know what to expect, believe me. Also the suits won’t be worn 24/7. It’s only for these few parties and then you won’t have to wear them again.”
“Chin up Tag,” Sonny said to the said guy who looked down. “We’ll all help you get over this. That’s what friends do.”
“And the dancing lessons won’t begin until after the clothes are ordered,” the husky stated. “We’ll be doing that early tomorrow. We’ll help you get through this. Okay?” Tag nodded in defeat.
The group went to the mall where Nicholas and Meika had been to before. Outside the fancy clothing store, the guys and the girls split up. Mia, Jessica, Cody, Kira, Rachel, and Daniel were here to. “See ya soon babe!” the male stallion said to the female horse.
“Bye sweetie!” she cooed to her guy.
“Alright to business,” Nicholas stated. His group went inside.
“Say do you even know what tie to get for the color?” Miles then asked.
“That will be figured out once we know who we’re dancing with for partners,” the husky answered.
“Wait, partners?” Sonny asked, getting nervous as a vision popped into his head of dancing with Mia.
“All the racers need to have one to dance to,” Nicholas stated. “It’s always been that way.”
“This is just getting worse and worse,” Tag groaned.
“Oh suck it up you big baby,” the canine growled. “In any case we’re only being measured and choosing what style we want for the suit.”
“At least we have it easy,” Cody commented with a grin. “The girls have a much harder time with things like this.”
The males then found others who worked here to help. While Nicholas explained what this was for, the rest stood back and looked at the stuff nearby. They were all then taken to the side to be measured. The ties would come later. Meanwhile the females were indeed having a bit of a harder time. For not only did they have to be measured, there were more styles to choose from. “What do you think of this?” Mia asked, holding up one dress to her body that was an example.
“It looks fine,” Meika replied with a grin.
“I want to be good for Sonny…”
“Oh? Someone’s got a crush?” The panda blushed but then turned the tables on the vixen.
“Oh you mean like your feelings for Nicholas?” Now it was Meika’s turn to burn red.
“Fine… you got me there…” The vixen went silent.
“Hey, I think it’s great you’ve fallen for such a great guy. He really needs someone like you by his side; you’re perfect for him.”
“You think so?” Meika asked.
“I know so. No matter what people say or do.”
“Awwwww that’s so sweet!” the vixen squealed happily. She then smiled up at the female. “Well Sonny needs someone and I’ve always viewed him as a very good friend. He needs someone to love him like you. Just like Nicholas needs me by his side as that special someone.”
“Thanks, I’m glad you approve,” the panda said and they grinned.
“What y’all talking about?” went a familiar voice. It was Rachel who was smiling.
“Just love and things like that,” Mia replied. “You’re finished already?” The horse nodded. The rest were soon measured and told to come in the next day to figure out what color and dress style they wanted as there wouldn’t be time for that today. It was the same for the guys.
Soon everyone but Cody, Kira, Rachel, and Daniel were back at Nicholas’s place as he told the other couples he needed Mia and Jessica especially. They were in the living room after having lunch. A music player was here to having been set up by the husky. “Alright then, it’s time to show Tag that the dancing won’t be that hard,” he stated. “But first we need to figure out who’s going to dance with who. All the racers will be required to. Miles is the exception like my mechanic cause they’re not the ones racing.”
Tag groaned. “It’s a matter of your body,” Meelo said to him. “Heck, even I can do it. And if I can, you can do it to.”
“He’s right,” Nicholas commented. “Now then Meelo, can you control the music for now by turning it on when I ask?” The chameleon went to over to it and nodded.
“So I need a partner to show you.” The male looked to Meika who grinned. “Meika, will you help me out?”
“I’d love to,” she replied sweetly. The vixen walked over to the husky.
“Now watch Tag how I have my paws on her like she does with me.” The tiger watched. “Now Meelo turn the music on.” The guy did and the husky showed how to lead in a slow dance that would be required. The time he wasn’t talking he and Meika were looking at the other with loving grins and some blush on their cheeks. After some of this, the husky gave Meelo the order to stop the music. He and the vixen smiled and he bowed to her.
“Thank you Meika for that lovely time,” Nicholas said pleasantly. “Now let’s partner up. Mia and Sonny, why don’t you to be one, Jessica and Meelo you’re another, which leaves Tag and Tamira as one.”
Her eyes went wide with shock and Tag blushed. “You planed this,” the pantheress said sternly.
“What?”
“You planned this, I know you did!”
“Hey it’s about height wise,” Nicholas replied. “You and Tag are the only ones left since the others including me and Meika will have each other as partners for these dances. There ain’t much of a choice.”
Tamira glared daggers at him before turning to Tag. “Come on, let’s get this over with,” she grumbled.
“Eh… right…” he replied nervously.
The lessons began and the tiger found it wasn’t so bad since he was with Tamira. The guy wasn’t still comfortable but figured he could do this. He did need some pointers as did the female. Sonny was more or less okay but Mia was used to this so was able to help him. Only Jessica and Meelo had no problem from the beginning like it was for Meika and Nicholas. So until the party happened, the guy said the two pairings who had the most trouble would be practicing with him and Meika until it was time to get used to this. The vixen had no problem helping him as it meant more time to be in his arms. Although the two didn’t say anything yet about how they felt, their feelings for the other were very close to growing deeper. As for Sonny and Mia, the two bears were even closer. Tag and Tamira not as much but she was beginning to warm up to the tiger even more. In addition they went back to the clothing store to truly order what they wanted. The females got the right dresses in the styles and colors they wanted. The guys got their suits and ties that would match their lady dancing partner. The days flew by with all this going on with the lessons and going back for fittings. Also the interviews that had been filmed aired and everyone saw those on the news. They were really pleased how those had turned out. And the countdown that it was a part of kept highlighting the first party and others that were coming up. But only the first was known where it would be taking place as the rest were a surprise. Everyone was ready for this and pleased with the choices for clothes and their dancing partners. They knew this would be a night of fun. But what they didn’t know was the few surprises they would get during it.
