Rage - cheap plasterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - clay head!
Rawr - so ya, my clay head got fucked cause of cheap plaster (which we had lying around), which ended up causing microbubbles throughout the whole mould ruining it...and then cause of that, I had to restart the clay head again from scratch - so that's why there haven't been any updates lol...
I should hopefully finish the clay head 2.0 tonight lol - which probably won't be as good as the first one as I'm making it fast cause I'm grumpy...
Oh well, shit happens - I now know what plaster NOT to use lol, and I'm happy I figured this out now, instead of during someone's commission (yes I'll be taking those). I'm also still learning, as this is really one of my first projects like this :)

Ultracal!! Use Ultracal 30 (A Brand of Gypsum Cement)! $35 for 100lbs from a local statuary: Places that sell landscaping statues and lawn ornaments and building supplies!
Plaster is Way too weak to be applied thinly... I know: My early Wolf Skull mold is made of plaster, and theyre like 4-6cm thick!!!
Gypsum Cement is MUCH lighter and stronger than plaster, and you dont have to use as thick a layer (2cm maximum al around is all you need).
When you add the water to the ultracal, only mix as much as what can be used in a butter tub (1 liter): and when you mix it, you are looking to achieve the consistency of Wet Toothpaste within 5 minutes of adding the water and mixing it with your hands: Make sure to break apart all lumps with your fingers. Then you pour that on top of the mask sculpt from a height of at least 10cm: This utilizes Gravity to kill the bubbles!!
I wish you good luck in this!! Its definitely an interesting trip!!
