The Mordhau, also called "murder-stroke" is a technique that consists of grabbing the sword by the blade and hitting your enemy using the guard and pommel, like if it was a mace. It was usually used against armored targets, where cutting or stabbing was pretty much useless. Here Enorach is about to demonstrate such techniqie, while Lars watches his back.
What can I say? I had an itch to draw some more armors, and who better than Eno as a main subject for this? I hope you like it! ^^

The technique is slow so you should only use it if your opponent is unprepared or immobile, but if you don't have a mace or a hammer it will work in a pinch.

I'll be damned, that knocked the armored guy for a loop! And did serious damage to the helmet! Not as much as a warhammer might, but you fight with what ya got! I still am unsure about using it with a cleaving weapon, but there he is, using it with bare hands, using the flexing of the blade to make the pommel go SMACK! Ouchies...
That's what I thought as well when I saw the video for the first time. And minutes after the hit he still hadn't recovered.
Someone else (I think it was Shad from Shadiversity, but I'm not sure) made a longer video about using a sword by holding the blade with bare hands as well as gloves.

Just in case you didn't know.
Mordhau
Mord - 'Murder' in German.
-hau - short for 'hauen' which commonly means 'hitting' in German. Though 'stroke' is a less common, but also fitting translation.
Considering the video where they tried a fight like that and one of them accientally getting a mild hit on the helmet which took him 10 minutes to recover? A fitting name for the technique. 10 minutes recovery for an accidental slight hit? I don't want to imagine a full hit like that.

Big ouchies incoming
Also I LOVE the gambeson sleeve on the tail! I always figured they'd just tuck the tail into one of the cuisses, but I really like the look of this! I wonder if the padding might be too stiff to bend or if they'd use a lighter, more flexible material. Excellent attention to detail either way!

Of course it always depends on the situation. Do you want to know why it is a deadly technique in this situation? Those two are used to work as a team as we have seen before:

I will always admire your attention to detail, your use of action in a scene and your ability to generate an emotional response in me. I love your characters, their background and history. And the world you have them in is a joy to look at.
