A valentine's picture for a certain someone <3
However sad this sounds, this is the first time I've ever done a picture on valentines for someone.
This wouldn't fit in my scanner so I had to take a photo which explains the crappy quality.
I think maybe this is a marked improvement on how I draw bodies, they both look older and a tad more 'real'. A reference was used as I would have had no hope drawing a piggy back otherwise.
Here's to my kitty cat and here's to another year <3

This piece looks so awesome. The fact that its your first valentines piece doesnt make it sound sad, it sounds special.
Anywho, I like that its got a scrap book kind of feel to it, because I think in that way it captures a feeling of "this is memorable". Like its important and you wanted to keep it as a memory in a scrap book, and they were cut out of a snapshot photo of them walking together piggyback. The composition is just really well done too: you know the two characters are the most important but the rest of the piece works with it and gets attention too. The sharp, electric quality of the colors of the characters contrasts to the soft pink background nicely. Its an odd combination but it works.
Anyways, I just like the piece and thats why. Happy Valentines :P
