A peek at Valentine's Day for Dr. Nefar aka Radar Nocturn. Very short.
Valentine’s Day
By Radar Nocturn
The soft sound of footprints echoed down the empty hall as Dr. Nefar made his way through his ship. He stopped and turned, putting his eye before the retinal scan before entering a dark room. The lights flickered on as he walked in, and all that remained in the room was a chair sitting beside a little table with a picture on it. One hundred and forty-three pictures hung on the wall, videos of the last moments of life for every one of those people as seen from his eyes.
He sighed as he scanned the wall, eyes pausing to rest on the shark in the last picture. He shook his head as he watched how he had murdered the soldier over and over again. His eyes turn towards the picture sitting on the little table. He picked it up, and let out another sigh as he looked at the two happy people in the picture.
“Gloria……,” he said, a tear running down his cheek. In the picture was him and Lady Liberty, the mighty mare holding him close while he blushed. He wiped his face and set the picture down on its face.
“First Valentine’s day without you. Why did you have to break my heart?” He shakes his head when the door opens. Spinning on his heal, he glares at the robot standing in the doorway.
“What is it?!” he barked, startling the robot.
“Sir…, come quickly, there’s a problem!” said the machine before stepping out of the doorway. Radar let out a sigh and followed the machine. The robot led him down hallway after hallway before getting to the main dining room. Upon entering the room, he was greeted with loud shouting.
“Surprise!!!!” cried his machines as they stood near a small cake with candles. One of the robots stepped towards the bat and bowed.
“Happy Birthday Master! We know it’s a day early, but Maria thought it would be a good surprise for you.”
The bat couldn’t help but smile as he rubbed the robot’s head.
“Thank you children, you truly have brought some light to a dark day. I’m very happy I brought you all into this world. Thank you all so much.”

Good story.
Oh, and a song that seems rather appropriate:

Gah! How did I not see that? *laughs* Thanks for noticing that. And it's not a wall of trophies, it's a wall of death to him. He uses it to remind him of all the murders he committed as the Pavor Nocturnus so he will never kill anyone again without giving them a chance. He's got one person he is devoted to killing, but that's because he knows the man is pure evil. He's still trying to redeam himself for killing all those people, an action he deeply regrets.
