Time of Ninjas
Exploring the Village and Heading Out
The morning came in and it found Sky rising from her bed. After getting ready, the feline went off to find Yuki. The Russian Blue was able to find the other female easily. “Can we talk?” the first asked.
“Sure,” the second replied. They went to their usual hangout.
“So what is it?”
“What the hell were you doing last night?”
Yuki’s eyebrows went up in surprise. “What are you talking about Sky?” she asked.
“You know what! Talking with that bastard Nicholas!”
“Oh that? I don’t see what the problem is; he’s nice.”
“Don’t let that fool you,” Sky growled.
“Look, can’t you give him some slack?” Yuki commented. “That was so long ago. Nicholas’s changed. Even I can tell.”
“Whatever but you stay the hell away from him. He’ll probably end up hurting you.” Sky then left it at that.
Meanwhile the fosky himself had woken up and left his guest room. He figured the best thing to do was to be to take a look around this place and get familiar with it. The guy did this on his own just to spend some time to himself before trying to see if he could find Sky and maybe talk to her. The guy started from the guest area and made his way to the other buildings. These were from the storage one for supplies, the medical area, and some landmarks of interest. Nicholas didn’t go to where the females of this clan lived at as there was no reason to check that out. But then at one point he was walking along a path and then his ears twitched as the male heard the sound of something heading his way. Nicholas ducked and a ball of some kind went over his head. Looking showed it rolled to a stop and the guy picked it up. A second later a little female of five came up to him, a very cute feline herself. “Is this yours?” Nicholas sked gently with a smile, holding out the object to her.
“Yeah! Thanks!” she replied.
“Here you go little one.” The fosky handed it over and the young gave him a big grin before taking off. Nicholas watched her go with a soft smile. The guy loved kids and knew he would have some of his own someday. But for now, the male did what he could with the little ones.
The guy continued on his way and then using his powers of the wind increased his jumping power to get up higher to a thick tree branch from one such plant in the village. It was a glorious view of the area. Nicholas then looked down and saw Sky heading towards him but not looking up. The fosky grinned and dropped down carefully at the base of the tree to wait for her. The feline made it and noticed him out of the corner of her eyes.
“Hey Sky,” Nicholas said pleasantly. She tossed her long hair back with her face looking the other way with a humph. The fosky noticed this and ran up to catch to her.
“Sky, wait, why give me the cold shoulder?” the male asked. “What’s wrong?”
“You know what is!” the feline snarled, rounding about to face him while pointing a finger at him. “You may have wormed your way into the hearts of everyone else here but you won’t with me especially with what you did when we were younger!”
“You’re angry about that? Well I suppose I can’t blame you since I was a brat. But that was years ago.”
Sky was about to retort when someone else came running up to them. “There you two are!” they stated. “Mei is looking for you two!”
“Already?” Nicholas commented with a smirk. “I haven’t done anything wrong… yet.”
“You think this is a fucking joke?!” Sky snarled at him.
“Well let’s see what Mei wants.”
The two were soon before the leader of the Moonshade Clan. She was sitting with Karui next to her. “Ahhh, I’m glad you two made it,” Mei purred happily. “Good, the time has come for our two clans to start working together.”
“A mission already?” Nicholas asked. “Very well, what is it?”
It was Karui who then spoke up. “We’ve been given a request from a village. They want us to escort one of their most important members to a location to help finish building a roadway. He needs protection from robbers and thugs.”
“A simple mission, but one that shouldn’t be a problem,” Sky commented. “So why call us here?”
“Because my dear, you, Nicholas, and a few others will go on it,” Mei replied.
The young feline’s eyes went wide with anger. “What?! No!” she exclaimed. “Why should someone like me be with him?!”
“Come on, it won’t be that bad,” the fosky said weakly but she sent him a death glare.
“Sky, I know why you’re acting the way you are but he’s one of the best of the guests,” Mei replied. “So why not have you who is also one of the best work together?”
The Russian Blue crossed her arms with a scowl. “Fine…” she growled before glaring at Nicholas. “But don’t try anything funny; got it?”
“On my honor as a ninja,” he replied. “Who will lead us in this?”
“I will,” the fennec fox answered. “The others coming with us will meet us near the entrance. Now then I suggest you two pack up for the journey ahead.” Nicholas and Sky nodded. She left the room as quickly as possible, dreading this. He on the other hand was looking forward to this.

Can't say I don't blame her for being pissed at me. But you'll see what I have in mind for Sky.

Sorry, it took me a while to get to this, but a nice job and I can't wait to hear more!! I love my sona, but by this point wishing she would let up a bit. He must have done something bad enough to stick with her so long. Maybe explore that angle some when they interact next? Just a suggestion though, keep it up!
