If this chapter seems short, I do apologize but due to my rush of canon art of me and Meika, I was very tired when I typed this chapter up.

Jasana started by showing Nicholas around the upper levels of the palace they were at. The Mrrshan first showed the Lunini the palace library which held much knowledge. The palace garden was also on this level as well. It was one of Jasana’s favorite places and Nicholas could see why. It was peaceful with the plants, places to rest, statues, and even the small fountains here. Also on this floor was the main meeting room that Jasana’s mother would use to meeting with the other important Mrrshan on this planet. On the lower levels were other rooms like a medical one, a couple living and parlor rooms, and guests rooms, one of which was for Nicholas. The guy took a look on the inside and saw it was very nice. “I am honored to have such a place even if it’s only temporary,” he told Jasana.
“My mother will be pleased you are,” she replied. “You can thank her tonight at dinner.”
“Then I will attend that.”
The two then went down to a couple more of the other rooms but then they left the palace with her showing the male the surrounding area as there wouldn’t be enough time to show the capital city. The two were side by side and the male was smiling. “I could get used to this,” he said.
“What?” Jasana asked, surprised.
“I mean if I had to settle here I could. There’s something about this planet that I find peaceful. It’s not due to staying in the palace. It’s a lot more than that.”
“Settle? What are you talking about?”
Nicholas then stopped as that had come out without him meaning to. The Lunini got a sad look and the Mrrshan realized he had brought something up that was sensitive. “Nicholas, I…” she began but then stopped when he shook his head.
“It’s okay,” the male replied. “You couldn’t have known. I… I’m not fully ready to talk about what I mean. But… let’s just say my home planet is one I can never go back to. Not because of a crime, but something else. None of us Lunini can…”
“I’m sorry… I really am,” the female whispered.
“Yes and even so the future is looking brighter for me and some of us.” Just then the guy noticed a plot of land that had nothing on by one of the palace’s walls. “Speaking of that… is that spot being used?”
Jasana saw what he was talking about. “You know, it’s not,” she answered. “What did you have in mind?”
“Remember how I said finding a place for the Lunini with me to sell our wares? Well why not set something up there?”
“I will need to ask my mother,” the female stated. “But we can make it work. Many of the Mrrshan pass this way so it should be perfect despite not being at the many markets here.”
“Would it be better to have it there instead? I have to think of what will get us the most profit.”
“It would be harder… Why don’t we see what my mother has to say.”
“Very well. It’s strange though I have seen no emperor of the Mrrshan, just her.”
Jasana’s eyes flashed with pain and Nicholas realized now he was the one who had brought up a touchy subject. “Jasana, forgive me, I’m sorry!” the male stated in a rush, worried she might be offended or worse.
“No…” She took a breath. “You didn’t know… My father… he died when me and my siblings were young… It’s been so hard for my mother but she’s ruled over our people on her own without my father for years. She’s had help and my other sisters have helped to. But even so she’s not found someone else. My father was a very special Mrrshan to her…”
“Well… I’d like to hear about him if that’s alright.”
Jasana told him memories she had of the emperor, how he had been a loving and kind father. He always made time for his children, and ruling over his people with her mother with just and fairness. However, the male had suffered from a disease. It was a deadly one that affected one in a million of the Mrrshan so it was very rare. And due to how it hadn’t come up that often, there was no cure. All his family could do was make him comfortable and happy before he passed on. The emperor had at least died surrounded by loved ones, giving them one last piece of advice and his love before death took him. “But even so… I know he’s still somewhere and watching us…” Jasana then finished.
“He sounded like an incredible male,” Nicholas said. “I won’t ask anymore of him.” The guy then noticed the light had changed. “Say… I think it might be getting close to eating. Shall we head back?”
“Oh yes,” the female agreed. “We shouldn’t be late for the dinner.” Jasana led the way for Nicholas. He knew this was where he would bring up the idea of setting that place up near the palace. He hopped Jasnaa’s mother would agree to it.
