Back with this gorgeous Dragoness and myself.

Nicholas and Amethyst left the hideout but took a different path. The dragon led the dragoness to a section she had never been to. The female had blush on her cheeks and that wasn’t going away at all. The dragoness couldn’t find it in herself to not turn back. Despite her feelings and how she felt it wasn’t possible for them to be together, Amethyst wanted to hope. And that was why the female was following the male now. “Is… is it much further?” Amethyst then asked.
“Not much,” Nicholas replied. “It’s going to be a place you’ll like; I can tell.”
A couple of minutes later, they reached a hole in the ground. Walls from the buildings of this city were surrounding them. “Now we drop down below,” the male said.
He went first and she followed. They went forward and then Amethyst saw it. Ahead was an open space with flowers and greenery. Light was coming in and yet this place was hidden from the outside world. “Oh my god…” the dragoness whispered.
The two emerged into the place and it was roomy. “Do you like it?” Nicholas whispered with a smile, a slight blush on his cheeks.
“Nicholas… it’s beautiful…”
“It is…” She looked to see his face was turned to hers. “I’ve… I’ve never brought too many here. Only two. You are the third person to see this…”
“Who were they?”
“My parents. None of my friends know about this.”
Amethyst smiled. “I… I don’t know what to say… I feel honored somehow…”
“Think nothing of it,” Nicholas said gently. “Think of this as our little secret spot from now on. And maybe someday others we love and trust can be shown it.”
The two then went silent, looking at this. The male then spoke again. “Tell me, how do you feel to be in Talon now Amethyst?”
“Well… it’s not bad,” she answered, getting over her shyness. “I feel I’m doing good and for once have my life in control. For once I’m not some helpless dragoness who’s taking a beating from others. And I want to do more.”
“I’m sure our leader will make sure that happens.”
“Yeah… although I’m sure those two, the ones I once worked for, they’re looking for me. I’m just glad my mother and sister aren’t here so nobody I know will get hurt in their rage.”
“Yeah, I can imagine they’re pretty pissed you managed to get away from under their noses,” Nicholas stated with a grin and began to laugh. She did as well as it was humorous and there was nothing her old bosses could do about it.
“Although… what will happen when you face them again?” he then asked.
Amethyst froze on the inside. With all that had been going on, that thought hadn’t crossed her mind. “I’m… I’m not sure,” she answered. “But I know when the time comes, I’ll know what to do.”
“As good an answer as any for now.” Nicholas looked to the plants again and smiled. “Well… we should probably get going back. We don’t want to stay out here for too long.”
“Yes… Thank you… thank you for everything and showing me this…”
“You’re welcome and it’s no problem.”
The dragon and dragoness left this place and then made it back to Talon’s hideout just fine. But then a few days later the news came that Manuta needed a delivery made to it. Talon’s leader Torn decided a few needed to go. And Amethyst as a reward for doing so well that first mission would be allowed to head there along with Nicholas and a couple others. Not only would this delivery be sent but she would see her family again already. “Talk about a lucky break for you,” Nicholas said to her later. “I’m sure they’ve been wondering how you’ve been doing.”
“I’ve kept in contact with them by letter but yes, telling them face to face is different,” the dragoness commented as she packed some things away.
“How have they been doing?”
“From what I last read they have settled in nicely. I’m sure they’ll want to see you again since you helped me and them out.”
“Of course I will.”
“There I think that’s everything,” Amethyst then stated.
“Very well, I’ll leave you so you can get some sleep,” Nicholas commented. “Goodnight…”
“Goodnight…” She watched him leave the room and smiled softly. Even if there was a chance they couldn’t be together at least this trip would be more than worth it. Amethyst was looking forward to it.
