to lock the hubs...yeah, turned out it was a bit deeper than i thought and 2WD didn't cut it...at first anyway...Spent about 10 minutes hanging over the hood trying to reach the hub but since the truck was siting at an angle i couldn't hang off the side far enough to reach it without starting to slide off. Before going for a swim i figured I'd give 2WD one more shot and...well, managed to rock my self out!
So what have we learned here? Absolutely nothing! I managed to get myself out without getting wet and that's all i care about! ^^

I was driving my friends back down the mountain and one of them was asleep- I saw a sign that I've been wanting to hit for a month now but there's always traffic through there; it was empty- I said "hey nick" he was like "what?" and looks up *Sign explodes into pieces* He looks at me and starts laughing hysterically xD I broke a turn signal though... oh well :P I'll just glue it in when I get the chance.
damn! was it like a normal road sign with those thick wooden posts? if so i'd imagine it would do a lot more damage than a broken light...then again, it is a ford A friend of mine were sorta doing something like that, driving around the walmart parking lot around midnight ramming shopping carts, twas fun!...but i broke a piece of my grill off
Yup- my searches turned up dry as well. My idea was to get an I-beam and cut off the cross sections & bend the edges to match the original bumper- then make some pushers that come up from that and weld some tubing to it and cover the vulnerable areas with chicken wire. I also wanted to put some ammo boxes in the bumper.
well, sounds like you have a plan! something i don't yet have...theres a few other things i'd like to focus on before getting to the grill, like rebuilding my rear diff. Theres also the fact that I have no experience on working with metal, sooo...would have to find someone to help me
Diff can see how that didn't look like a nasty hole.. That's why I'm a puss when it come to leading a grp thu new trails lol I came across a green reflector in my headlights one night... yeah it was a river in front of me.. and I always get wet, come on what's not to love about getting nasty swamp water in your mouth.
