Sadly, yep- it really can get worse in the "art" world...

It was a done for a piece of modern art.
The piece in question was in the news recently because some guy took the banana off the wall and ate it.

But but this is shipping tape, not duct tape!

Makes this more artistic than the original banana imo. The tape matches the color better.

Thought that was a bandage at first. Then my thought was "Gods, I hope he's not allergic to latex. That's gonna suck if he is."

Yeah, you can be allergic to latex. Some people, like myself, break out into a rash. Others can have a rash, have blisters where the latex makes contact with skin, have trouble breathing, or a combination of all of that. If you've ever gone to the store and seen those bandages with Nitrile in them, or the cloth-based bandages, those are for people that are allergic to latex.

Really wish latex were inert. That would make life a whole heck of a lot easier for lots of people.
