It was suggested that I light the coral up from the bottom and after thinking about it and a trip to Hobby Lobby and Walmart I figured out a way to do it and this is the result. It looks a lot better in real life once your eyes become accustomed to darkness. The sea shells and tiny crabs light up as well even though they somewhat get washed out by the brighter lights.
