Some fake deep stuff I did my Freshman year of MCAD in 2014 as part of a self-portrait assignment.
This actually didn't turn out too bad (all things considered) but the biggest problem here is the medium being used. I was being a cheapo when it came to buying the appropriate tools, so instead of using charcoal on Arches cover white (expensive but high quality paper), I used graphite pencils on Canson.
Not only did this create more work for myself, it also brought down the tonal ranges in how much the paper could actually absorb, and we haven't even gotten to the compositional flaws here.
BUT, art student aside, it's kinda fun going back and seeing how much the KZ sona' influenced what I did with my art.
