Another sketch. Furries in racing suits they don't really work, but also the aesthetic is kinda important to the theme. It's why i don't draw it more often despite me liking motoracing a whole lot.

Scott Robertson's freehand drawing skills can help you with drawing real vehicles, plus his rendering. find his website. I found him by finally reading the two books I forgot I bought five years ago. been hesitant to draw though; his skillset takes about a year to learn. His channel is on YouTube he uses Photoshop CC like you do.
I envision a helmet to resemble the skull type inside it, so a Wild Dog/Wolf would wear a more dog-shaped helmet, same with the shoes, they would have toepad designed shoes that are squashed looking with long lacing like on mid-19th-century shoes, up the foot instead of the calf.

Heeey, furries in racing gear can go pretty well together. Check out http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/druidpup/ if you haven't already. c:
I assume they'd just stuff it down the leg. Would mess with the balance walking around, but in the car you don't really need something flying around that doesn't have any use. So tying it to one of the legs via the suit probably would be the way to go.
Or they'd do a belt inside the suit, saiyan style. :D

Hah, wow. I guess it's because I compulsively google things and had to look up racing suits after I saw this artwork, and the name of the material didn't seem like a coincidence.
"Furries in racing suits they don't really work"
Probably they'd rub copious amounts of aluminium hydroxide gel into their fur or something, and wear more modular garments. The helmet is the real problem.
Really like the motion in the pose by the way.

Man, I know your pain, but go through with it. For F1, I'd think they would cover the tail with a Nomex, fire-proof cover as well. Don't want any sources of ingress for the fire. I used to follow motor sports back during the Ayrton Senna/ Alain Proust days, but not for year since..
