“HEY! HEY!” Joey cried and stumbled a bit forward in the dark. “COME BACK!” he cried out and looked a bit nervous as he quickly jerked his head around in the dark; hoping to spot any speck of light. “COME BACK!” He called out again. He took a few steps forward, and a small “oof” escaped him as he ran right into the cave wall. “Ow..” he groaned
Joey turned around, pressed his back against the wall and slowly slid his body down so he could sit on the floor. “Great, it’s pitch black. Hope I’m not eaten by a Grue.” He sighed. “The heck am I supposed to do now?” he leaned forward and tried to rest his head in his hands. A small yelp escaped him as he forgot about his new muzzle and accidentally bonked his palm against his nose.
“Ow.” Joey groaned and pulled his hand back. “Stupid muzzle,STUPID BIRD!” he called out into the darkness. “And why the hell is it...wet?” Joey grumbled and wiped his hand on his shirt as an annoyed snort escaped him.
“What did that feather duster say? “Follow my nose?” Yeah like some stupid cereal mascot?” Joey inhaled deeply, ready to sigh.
Before he could exhale, his eyes widened a bit and he could feel his ears suddenly perk up. “What the heck?” he said and suddenly started to sniff around the area. “Is that...fresh air?” Joey gasped and leaned forward and onto his hands and knees.
He took a few steps forward as he got a better sense of the direction it was coming from. “That must be my way out!” he happily cried and suddenly a bark of glee escaped him.
Joey froze as the realization of what just escaped his mouth sunk in. “I really...just...barked.” Joey said nervously. “I...should go now..” he chuckled nervously and started forward again; before realizing his posture. “I am so glad no one can see me like this. Heck, even I am glad I can’t see myself like this.” joey sighed and slowly pushed himself back up onto two legs.
“Okay, let's get out of here.” Joey sighed once more and held his hands out in front of him to avoid colliding into any more cave walls. Joey inhaled deeply and kept concentrating on the smell of air as he walked forward. “Easy..” he mumbled to himself as his hands ran along the smooth sides of the cave walls. He kept his footsteps slow and easy to avoid tripping over any loose stones that might be littering the cave floors.
Joey could not help but smile as he made progress navigating out of the darkness. Fore a brief moment, he could have sworn he felt something wagging back and forth above his butt. Joey gasped and quickly reached behind himself and felt his posterior. A small sigh of relief escaped him as he did not feel anything there.”I need to hurry up and get out of here. This darkness is starting to mess with my head more than this muzzle is.” he reached up and felt the side of his new face again, and then ran a finger along the side of his sharper fangs. He winced a bit and pulled his finger back. “Really hope I don’t bite my tongue with these..talking is hard enough..” he sighed and kept moving forward.
As Joey turned another corner, a new smell started to enter his nose as well. He stopped for a moment and took several more sniffs of the air. “What..is that?” he tilted his head a bit as he tried to identify the new odor. “Smells...sweet, but potent?” He scratched the side of his head. His nose would feel a slight burning but nothing serious. . he reached up and gave it a small rub. “Anyway, moving on.”
Joey kept working his way through the darkness, the unknown odor was slowly getting stronger. Joey would have to stop and cough a few times as his nose was being assaulted. “Damn it Kasugami! Lay off the booze sometime!” Joey would find his body angrily crying out. Joey stopped and a gasp escaped him. “That was just like..before..didn’t Moegami mention gaining her knowledge?” Joey felt his lip quiver a bit and quickly move forward. He spotted a light in the distance and the odors of air and booze were very strong now. “THE EXIT!”
Seeing it was a straight shot forward, joey suddenly moved into a full sprint to the exit. Throwing caution into the wind and disregarding his safety; he was full speed ahead for the exit.
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” he cried as the light was getting closer. His footsteps echoing with each step as part of him wanted to just leap through the light and into freedom.
“FREEDOM!’ He cried and broke through his radiant exit. Joey had to close his eyes and look away as he was momentarily blinded. “Gaa! Freedom hurts!” he groaned and tried to slowly open his eyes as they tried to readjust to the brighter atmosphere.
Joey's vision was still Blurry as he tried to get his bearings. However before he could fully recover, he would suddenly be tackled by something woolly. A bark of surprise escaped him as he was tackled to the ground and a large weight was on top of him.
“AMMY! You baaaaad girl!’ A female voice bleated out, and then started to chuckle. “Why the heck did it take you so long to see your favorite drinking buddy?” The voice giggled again.
Joey grumbled a bit and squirmed under the heavy, woolly mass. “KASUGAMI! GET OFF ME!” Joey cried out and tried not to get his mouth blocked by the thick, poofy, white wool. “Ug..man that is still weird..” He grumbled as his body was involuntary talking for him.
Joey could feel the mass of wool starting to shift and turn, however it was not getting off the poor, changing human. Instead it would simply change position and now would be smiling as it was staring at Joey; sheep face to wolf face. “Hhhhhhiiiiiii.” It exhaled deeply as it spoke, bombarding Joey's nose in the heavy stench of alcohol.
Joey’s eyes widened a bit as his sensitive nose was overpowered by the sheep’s breath. A gag escaped him and he would suddenly erupt into a coughing fit. “Yes..hi..hi..” he said between coughs as he tried again to try and push the sheep off him.
“Heeeey! Easy that tickles!” She laughed and bleated as Joey’s hands were sinking into her wool. “Glad to know the ewe sun goddess is just as fun as the old one.” She gave a drunken laugh and joey would see her turn her head and start to drink from a large gourd that was just barely visible from Joey’s perspective.
Kasugami would pull her head back and give a very pleased, ”Ahhhh.” Joey could make out a bit of the liquid as it dripped out of the gourd . It was a bit hard to identify the purple liquid, but he could definitely smell potent alcohol. A small belch escaped her, and then she smiled and turned to look back at Joey. “Like my little joke there, Ammy?” she giggled as a stronger smell of booze erupted from her mouth and right to the helpless half wolf.
Joey’s eyes widened in fear and his new mouth went slack in horror. He tried to hold his breath as he tried to not inhale the foul odor. He struggled more and more, however he was futile to escaped before he needed to take a breath.
Another coughing fit escaped him as his new nose was burning. “Okay! OKAY!” He cried out between coughs. “The joke was funny, now could you PLEASE get off me!” He cried and struggled and tried again to push the sheep god off him.
Kasugami just laughed a bit “Well...since you said PLEASE.” She shuffled a bit and squirmed as she tried to get off Joey. She rocked her body and then fell off Joey with a laugh and a bleat as she landed on her side.
“Finally!” Joey cried and stood up and brushed himself off. A few loose strands of wool were stuck to his clothing. “Crazy sheep.” He grumbled as he tried to brush his clothing off.
“Huh Crazy?” She laughed again as she tried to get back up on all four legs. “Woah..woaaahhh!” She cried as her body was swaying back and forth and she seemed to have trouble keeping stable and in place “Ammy help!” she cried.
“How many times do I have to tell people my name is…” He sighed in defeat and gave a groan. “...Forget it.” He shook his head and carefully move over to the wobbling sheep. “Okay okay just..lean up against me and I can try to stabilize you or something.”
“Okaaaaaayyyyy” she cried and laughed as Joey got a small body slam as the sheep crashed against his body.
A grunt escaped Joey as she was struck, but he was able to hold his ground and not get pushed or knocked back as he was struck. “Okay...easy..” he sighed as he felt the weight of the sheep starting to get a bit heavy. “Hey HEY! Stabilize yourself! I can feel you starting to fall again!” he cried. “Don’t let all your weight fall on me!”
“Like thissss?” She laughed and Joey could feel all her weight falling on his body, pushing Joey back and sending the two down to the ground once more.
“No! NOT AGAIN!” Joey groaned as he was once again crying as he was starting to get pinned under the Ovis Aries. As the sheep was falling, Joey would see the opening of the gourd heading straight for his mouth, and before he knew it, the opening was over his mouth. Joey would hear the sound of sloshing liquid.as the sheep tilted over. “OH NO..!” Joey’s cries were cut off as the liquid starts to flow out and right into his screaming mouth.
Joey tried his best to avoid swallowing any of the liquid as it flowed into his maw. The potent liquid seemed to flow out like a waterfall and was running out the sides of his mouth. He tried as hard as he could to resist swallowing any of the alcoholic booze, however his boy could not resist anymore and he found himself starting to swallow the beverage as it kept flowing out.
“Whoopsie!” Kasugami said and laughed as she started to get off Joey. The shaking motion moving the opening and soaking the rest of Joey’s head. “Just...need a little..” She grunted and laughed as she rocked herself off Joey’s body and onto the ground.
Joey gasped for air as the flow of booze was finally cut off. He pushed himself onto his hands and knees as a small coughing fit escaped him. “What in Yami’s name is wrong with you!?” Joey cried as he coughed a few more times and tried to clear his lungs.
“What? What do you mean Ammy?” She giggled again and wobbled up back on all four legs again. “I just lost my balance, that’s all. Why,did something happen?” She asked innocently but she turned to look at Joey with a rather large grin.
“You WANTED that to happen, didn’t you?” Joey gave his furry head a shake to try and get rid of the alcohol that soaked him.
“Noooo..well maybe...okay, maybe I did.” She giggled. “Honestly Ammy, I heard you were a bit stressed, I thought maybe a drink or two might help you unwind. So take a load off you baaaaad boy. Kick back and relax as you embrace your ascension into the new goddess.
“How many times to I...have to tell you guys…” Joey groaned a bit as he held his head as the alcohol was slowly starting to kick in”...my name is J-J-Joooeeeeeyyyy.” He slurred a bit and suddenly he was erupting into a small fit of giggles.”Just, just like a baby kangaroo!” His laugh was getting louder as he could not stop smiling and laughing as he hopped around on both feet.
Kasugami laughed along with Joey. “Don’t let Yumigami see you like that! She might think you are mocking her.”
“Oh please...that moon bunny really needs to lighten up.” Joey said and waved the air in front of him with a scoff and a chuckle. “After all, Yumigami’s only source of light is moonlight, no wonder her life is so dim!” he laughed.
“HA ha! Good one Ammy!” Kasugami laughed and bleated as she went to take another drink from her gourd
“What the heck is that stuff anyway? I never had alcohol before but that stuff was pretty good. A hiccup escaped him as he bent down and placed an arm around Kasugami’s neck.
The action startled her a tiny bit and caused her to spit out a bit from surprise. “Hmmmmm?” She asked and coughed a bit. “Oh this is Eight Purification Sake, sound familiar?”
Joey seemed to zone out a bit as he hear those words. Suddenly his mind flashed as he saw a giant, eight headed creature, cloaked in darkness before him. Several of the heads roared loudly as one lunged forward with it’s mouth wide, ready to strike.
Joey turned around, pressed his back against the wall and slowly slid his body down so he could sit on the floor. “Great, it’s pitch black.
