With the help from The Yueltime Monster
And here's my half-drawing, half-photo submission for A FurAffinity Christmas 2019
Plus, here's some info on the dhoto (a portmanteau of drawing and photo)
"it's was cold, winter's night, (about 50 degrees, which is cold for Florida) and people from all throughout the city, the county, and even from neighboring Broward and Miami-Dade counties comes to see this magical sight that only comes during December, in fact, a lot of people come, bring their kids to the magnificent 100-ft Christmas tree. However, the event that is worth talking about is the lighting ceremony, that only happens one night a year, and that night is tonight, December 5th, 2019."
"It is seven at night, mostly everyone who was here downtown for the event has came for the tree lighting in old school square, with the parking garage to the north, some shops and restaurants to the south, NE Second Avenue to the west, and the old school itself to the east, which has been converted into a arts center during the 1990's. More than two thousand anthros have come, in their various fur colors and species varieties, had some to see the tree light for the first time in December, and they are all huddling about, bundling themselves in long shirts and long pants, to see this marvelous event, with the special guests who will light the tree, Santa Claus, and the lovely Mrs.Claus. BUT THERE'S ANOTHER GUEST, WAIT, WHAT'S THAT"
in lieu of the city's fire department helping them with getting up towards the tree to light it with their 'special magical powers', due to a firefighter strike, they enlisted the aid of the YUELTIME MONSTER
At first the crowd goers were scared of it, but after about a minute, and since he radiated Christmas cheer, and smelled of peppermint and Douglas fur, they began to warm to the festive giant.
He helped Mr. and Mrs. Claus up in a red and green-colored platform they were standing in, and after about five minutes, they got up towards the 90 feet point of the tree, and then the big man himself, using his 'enchanted candy cane', brought the tree to life in fantastical lights.
Everyone cheered in celebration of the sight
a fox and a Luario were within the sight of this photo, taking their own photos of the event.
after the tree gets lighted, the volunteers for the event opened the gates to the decor within the tree, and people crowd in to see the decor inside.
When the Yueltime Monster finally got the big guy and the Mrs. back to the ground, he began to stroll out of the square and he said heartily
"Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and have a happy new year. Have a merry time this December, and make this time a great one"
