"Haha!" Ben remarked cheerily, gently tossing a snowball into the air and catching it again. "Call yourself a winter-lover, Sarge? Can't even dress for the weather -- let alone a snowball fight!"

The werewolf that Ben was talking to seemed disgruntled by the remark. Stooping over, the werewolf had a bit of difficulty reaching over his large belly to pick snow off the ground.

"Too fat to throw a snowball?" Ben teased. "Guess I'm in the clear!" It was a taunt, for certain... but Ben was confident tha-

PAF!

Pelted right in the face, Ben would have gotten knocked to the ground if his legs weren't already knee-deep in snow. A snowball made contact with his cheek, giving it an icy sting. He turned to face the wolf, mouth gawking open. "ooookay! I take back my statement!" His smile widened. "This means WAR!"
