Teryx, the beautiful birdlike archaeopteryx, from the 1980's TV cartoon Dinosaucers, fossilized.

Fossilizers were the main weapon of the bad guys, the Tyrannos, and the Dinosaucers used them occasionally, too. They turned the victim to stone, but all you had to do was reverse the polarity of the gun, and you could turn them back to normal with no adverse effects (which can be seen in the animated GIF version).
In my version, the fossilizer only affects organic material. This way, the Tyrannos can steal the Dinosaucers' weaponry, particuarly the Dinovolver (in the belt buckle with the logo). They were always trying to figure out how Dinovolving (devolving into their larger ancestors but keeping their full intelligence) worked on the show, but somehow, they never thought of this! :)
Put in Scraps so as not to clutter up my main gallery with three versions of the same image :). (Two is plenty)
