Now that I think of it, how common is it to see "uncommon" fur colours? I haven't re-read from the beginning for a while, but I had the impression pretty much everyone has the "natural" fur of their base critter type. (Or at least something plausible, for not-quite-RL-types like Rose or Tildriel.)
You know, when I looked at the title, my mind immediately switched to "Roadside Picnic" novel, not sure why
In any case, a picnic like this sounds both awesome and scary XD The landscape is amazing, but don't get too close to the edge or you risk falling!
