The space cadet is clearly not a nice guy. I modeled this character after Col Oliver North, a right bastard and stupid as a dish of vanilla custard to boot. This space cadet is a bit brighter, though even more dangerous. To add some diversity to the characters, I coloured him black for the game. Note that his blaster is identical to the one in the Weapons card set.
Ambassador Xo was also an idea I had for the game. I thought there should be at least one alien character. It was SF, after all! The alien is modeled somewhat after those characters in Russ Manning's series of short stores called "The Aliens." They usually appeared in the back of either "Lost in Space" or "Magnus, Robot Fighter," and were quite good.

Hard to say. There was enough of that sort of verbal garbage floating around the CIA and the Reagan White House, though, that he probably learned it by imitation. He may not have been smart, but he was canny enough to survive army politics.
There are few instances in which government -- whether congress or some agency -- has ever pressed their advantage and hung out to dry the many, many villains that have passed under their scrutiny. Joe McCarthy is about the only one who got his just deserts in a hearing, and that was mainly the result of a rogue element in the Pentagon who had had enough of McCarthy's bullshit and spoke up. The hearing turned against him after that, but pretty much only because of that. Congress has no balls.
