Once she announced that she was Queen of all she surveyed (and the three Cattle Dogs announced the didn't care), Sydney calmed down a little. The Gang of Four Take the Lebanon Green.
My little mutt Cami (same truck, years later) is a little wound up. Very smart, but autistic: everything has to go in the right order and changes are not tolerated. She has recently discovered she's really is the pack leader; the two larger, goofy males just go with it.

I haven't seen Matilda since early this year - a friend of mine is a dog... well, he calls himself a 'dog grumbler'. In any case he used to mind Matilda while her owners were at work. Which so far as I could see more or less involved charging them a large amount of money to have her in his back yard. In any case she was/is one of the most frenetic dogs I've ever met. I'm sure the world must seem to move in slow motion to her; you could just about see her processing new information at about a billion bits per second. I've had two border collies, and even they weren't that hyper.
I used to live with a dog who was probably half Border Collie and half Australian Shepherd, two of the most hyper, busy breeds there are. You'd think he'd have been a hyper nutjob, but he was a couch potato. Nash was so calm and gentle, neighborhood cats would rub up against him, squirrels ran over his feet and wild bunnies gave him nose kisses.
Nash looks very gentle. I skipped ahead adn saw some of the shots in the snow. That's one thing I'm jealous about: most of the US - east of the Pacific coast -gets such dramatic changes in the season. I lived halfway up a local mountain and we'd get snowed in a few times in winter, but otherwise the seasons here are very even. Summer maximums are usually warm (sometimes genuinely hot). winter maximums are cool, but generally above 10C. And mainlanders think this is cold. The native trees are mostly evergreens . I'd really enjoy seeing the big swings in the seasons; the dramatic bursting forth of life in Spring, We still get it, but I think a lot of people don't even really notice it.
Oh, I see you have Stop'N'Shop's. One of the first thing I remember my MA friend doing was pointing out how we could drive past them with the RADIO ON (I think The Modern Lovers are a fair bit more famous in the Boston area than most places)

Nash was very gentle, possibly the gentlest dog I ever met. He was rescued from a pack of feral dogs living in Kentucky, but it was obvious someone had loved him. He had zero hunting drive but he was a sneak thief and had several sizes of shot in his chest. We had to learn to keep anything vaguely edible out of his reach -- he ate camera bags and a vintage Luger holster.
Several Flickr contacts lived on Tasmania, a mother and her two grown daughters. One of the daughters is now an officer in the Australian Coast Guard. The mother worked at a rescue and brought home any number of foster pets, dogs and cats, mostly. Their Kelpie welcomed every new arrival. They couldn't have asked for a better ambassador!
Stop & Shop is something of a joke, because it's frequently mentioned on the cartoon series Family Guy. The company has been around since 1892 (127 years!) but it's now run by a huge Dutch and Belgian conglomerate that just doesn't care. So, driving by with the radio on? Modern Lovers? Oh...
