The stag wants to fit in with the pack, but can't due to his own physical limitations. He must contend with the social assignment of species segregation/speciation. Consequently, he must deal with the continuous attacks from both the predatory and prey sides of life and his own mental conflicts about who and what he is. The concept is, in essence, a representation of the anguish mental disorder sufferers face day in and day out and the struggle to "fit in" that comes with it.
