Had a really interesting idea walking to class this morning. I wonder how if it would work to collab a tale about a game of magic? Posting turn by turn from each character's perspective...

One would need to play a game first to have one to write about, there's too much going on in a game to be able to do it straight up, (pesky instants and what not) but, you had said something about wanting to fill your gallery a bit and some 750-1k word chapters of a characters turns would be interesting to read.

I have about a half-dozen half-finished stories that take place in the Magic Universe. Based on decks I made.

Really? I like the whole world-switching stuff. Spend some time on a new plane and after the block's over, move on. There are rumors the next fall set is going back to Mirrodin.

I just had a real connection to Domaria, It was interesting to see characters go from mentions on cards to full blown heroes a block or two later.

I mgiht also be because since time spiral i really haven't had anyone to play with

What a bummer. I wish I had started playing around Time Spiral, it seemed like it would have been awesome to play in Limited.

Oh, I never played Mirrodin. I started last year right when Conflux came out. Zendikar has been pretty great so far.

i'm playing an EDH deck against a friend right now and its interesting, he only has cards forward from kamigawa where as i pulled things out from all the way back to Arabian Nights.

Dayum. My friend loves them kamigawa cards, but he's also really into Japanese history and mythology. And half-Japanese himself. Go figure.

I imagine that the tale would work like an RP on a MU* or such, whether told in 'people playing the game' or 'real wizards throwing real spells'. Things would happen in 2-3 sentence bursts except for the really big stuff.

I mean it would be two people playing, not just playing but having a conversation as well. Like two old men playing checkers in the park
