And who said Mercer only ever deals in dickings and knuckle sandwiches? Come Christmas, he'll be taking the role of Santa and bringing holiday cheer to all the good boys and girls, riding not in a sleigh, but upon his trusty steed Alastair (although they could both use a sleigh and an additional eight reindeers to round out the ensemble). The kids may be wondering why Santa is looking so much more rugged than he does in all the picture books, but them's progressive times we're living in. As long as it looks vaguely like Santa and hands out gifts like Santa, it oughta pass as Santa, lack of a big white beard be damned.
