Veritas shook her head to clear it. Training Talvi to be an effective fighter was like training a toddler at times; the sunwalker hadn't had proper instruction in years, and was surprisingly resistant to learning. It was frustrating, almost insulting really, for a proud warrior like her, that a fellow kriggle was so mediocre a fighter.
A shadow suddenly fell over the Grantaur as she looked up, her eyes going wide as the growing Talvi swelled up even fast. "How this for training?" Talvi shouted.

Talvi and Veritas are two characters of mine who don't really get along very well. They're not enemies, since they serve the same Master, but they're definitely not friends either. The best term for them is rivals, which leads to situations like this playing out rather frequently.
Luckily for Veritas, she's superhumanly tough, so she'll just be dazed following Talvi's stomp. And probably get her back in full later on.
