The Aridedalia, Ariuri, and Tovithragun are exploring a cave in
Lower Jorjuma mountains. It’s not clear what’s down here, but it must be important enough to catch the attention of the Mother Ari; the next step up from sending these three would be to send a thousand Ari warriors.
Ariuri (closest) and Aridedalia are the middle son and daughter of the Mother Ari. Ariuri is conversant in magic, but he’s striven more to follow his mother and uncle in the warrior traditions of the family. Like his mom, he prefers spears and spear-like weapons; in this case, a long-bladed hewing spear with a spiked guard near the base of its neck. Ariuri is in charge of this expedition, as he has more experience in warfare and stalking, and he’s more level-headed and serious than the other two put together. Ariuri is a few centuries older than Aridedalia and has a son slightly older than her.
Arededalia is fully a wizardess, having eschewed training in combat or warfare to focus on her studies in spell craft. Once she became adept enough, she learned how to create spells that would Bind her mind to that of a dragon, and found a willing partner in Tovithragun, a young male marsh dragon. When they successfully joined their minds, they discovered they were more deeply Bound than is typical for such spells. Although they retain individual identities, they always have at least a vague perception of each other’s thoughts and sensations. They are casual about taking control of each other’s bodies, and tend to exaggerate their normal expressions to help people know who’s talking; Aridedalia’s normally exuberant and optimistic personality comes off as goofy from Tovithragun’s body, while his easy-going congeniality comes off as placid and phlegmatic when he’s controlling Aridedalia’s.
