Heyo everybody! I just finished this bat plushie! She took *so* long to make since she had quite a few design marks and I made her out of cloth. But, she turned out really nicely, and I'm actually pretty proud of how she looks!
The Plushie
This girl looks simple but is actually pretty complicated. She has face markings, paw pads, and a bunch of hearts all of which are hand-sewn!!! It took amazingly long for me to get through it all, but all that painstaking work is finally done! She looks so cute T^T
Hiccups in the Process
This project was a doozy and there were certainly a few moments where I messed up and felt like giving up. The first hiccup was trying to make the eye markings for the face. I had to resew these makings twice for the left side because it wasn't laying the way I wanted it to.
The second hiccup was of sewing the legs. This was extremely frustrating for me. I had an issue where I couldn't get the legs to sit right. At first I tried hand-sewing the legs to the body, but after the first one came out horribly awkward, I had to decide against it. Instead, I switched to machine sewing the legs, and while this proved to be a better method, it was still quite challenging. In the end, I had to resew one of the legs THREE times!! It was infuriating!
The last hiccup was with the wings. I originally had sewn two hearts into the left wing, but as these started to fray, I had to redo them. Then I realized that one of the hearts didn't belong in the place the hole was, so I had to sew in a patch for it. This ended up looking quite cute though and really added to the ragdoll look.
For Sale!
This girl is for sale for $90 + shipping and comes with $60 worth of art. She is very big and huggable, so I think she's definitely worth it! If you'd like me to make her collar and romper as well, it'd be only $20 extra! Please message me to buy!
