'Nuff said, right?
WRONG!
Revipe:
Ingredients
4 tbsp. peppercorns, cracked (not ground up too finely)
3 sprigs rosemary
3 sprigs thyme
8 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup kosher salt
1/4 cup olive oil
1 10-14 pound prime rib
What To Do:
1. Strip the leaves off the rosemary and thyme stems; add the salt, oil, garlic, and peppercorns and mix it together into a paste (I used a small food processor to make it - you can kinda see that).
2. Place the prime rib, fat side up, in the roasting pan. Rub it with some olive oil, then rub on the seasonings.
3. Pop the roast in the oven at 500 degrees F (260C) and roast it for 45 minutes, then crank the heat down to 300F (148C) for another 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the meat thermometer reads 120-130 in the center for medium rare. When it's there, pull it out of the oven, cover it with foil and let it rest for 15 minutes before setting a knife to it.
4. EAT, BUBBELEH! EAT!

This picture was taken Before I started cooking it, as the roasting made the paste all black and charred-looking.
