Amari sat on her couch, wrapped in a plush blanket with a mug of cocoa in hand. She sat and enjoyed the silence that had finally arrived, no knocks on the door, no futures to be viewed, just silence. Amari sighed with relief and breathed in the smell of chocolate and the fresh pine she'd decorated and had in her corner. "I hope Denise can make it before the snow really starts to come down." She said quietly to herself, looking at the boxes that lay under the green leaves and dangling baubles. She then spotted a curious white box that she didn't recall putting there. "Huh? Where did you come from, boxy?" She asked aloud, placing her mug on her coffee table to go look. It had her name on the tag, but who could it be from? The giver was only referred to as "an old friend" which could've been quite a few people. It was already Christmas and this was the only present intended for her in the pile so she got to unwrapping it. The paper was actually a fine silk wrapped in many layers, concealing a decorated box with a snowflake motif. She lifted the lid on the finely carved wood to glimpse an orb, much like the crystal ball she had for show whenever she glimpsed a person's future. "What's this?" She asked, grabbing a paper that was closed with a ribbon. "Dear Amari, sorry I didn't get to come to the Christmas gathering, but I hope this beautiful package reaches you. In the box is further instructions on applying your already wonderous gift to the extra sight granted by the curious orb. Also there's a nice set of bands for your hair. I dunno, just thought only the magical relic would be kinda boring. Signed, your friend, Amber." Amari found the little bands, bearing a cute motif of snowflakes, snowmen, and candy canes. "Aww, that's so cute! But now I just gotta read the instructions for this thing. I just hope it doesn't need batteries." Amari commented, wondering if Amber was being for real that it was actually magic and not a gag gift like the last time she saw her.
