Since I made one for Maraschino earlier this year and we're closing in on the end of the decade, I thought it would be appropriate to make one for my main character Luthien, to help summarize how my art has evolved over the last 10 years. (This past month has taken a lot out of me so you'll have to forgive me for keeping this short.)
A lot has definitely happened in that span of time. I think I'd have to say the biggest achievement for me was going from working retail to doing art commissions as my full-time job. I kind of just fell into it back in summer of 2010 and I haven't stopped since. I couldn't say how many pieces of art I've done for other people, probably in the thousands though! I absolutely love that this is how I get to pay my bills and though it isn't without it's stresses, its definitely worth it to be doing what I love.
I have attended a handful of cons, mainly local, and was the Guest of Honor at one (Wild Nights 2012). That was a crazy experience, full of it's own ups and downs, but its another notch in my belt so to speak. I'm hoping in the future I can start going to conventions again and maybe doing badge sales the way I used to.
Non-art related, I have moved .... *stops to count*.... 6 times. I went from Phoenix to Broken Arrow to Owasso to OKC and back to Broken Arrow. Experienced living by myself for a while, something I think everyone should try at least once in their life. Currently live with my boyfriend, our three rats, and our cat.
I experienced the loss of my previous relationship (after 8 years) and have been in my current one for 7 years (which, as you know, almost ended earlier this month and I'm SO thankful it's back). I've learned a lot through both of them. My boyfriend and I are engaged but we don't have a wedding date set and we're not in any big hurry. We just enjoy each other's company and sharing our life, regardless of the label.
I can't say much else really, its been a pretty calm 10 years other than the things I just mentioned. I've learned from the tough times and I'm hoping to apply those lessons in the coming year and onward, in both my art and personal life. I have plans for art projects I want to do and things I'd like to accomplish just for personal growth, but for the rest of 2019 I just want to rest. >u<

This is a really wonderful retrospective of where you have been, and the journey to where you are -- and where you're going. I think you picked a wonderful set of images that are similar, but also distinct, in their poses and composition to show the progression.
You should be very proud, and I hope you'll continue to share your journey with us.
