For 10 years Kami was a slave at a farm. Her owners had a daughter, Meelie, who was about her age. They sometimes played together... in the way the daughter of a slaveowner would play with her property.

After the fire and Kami's release, Meelie had grown up into a sexy young girl (specially when compared to the much less attractive Kami) whose presence was the main attraction of her parents recently-built inn. Many travellers, A'Harians and humans, would travel great distances to admire her and drink enough liquid courage to try to win her favour.
