Hm, he doesn't look entirely like Batman should, in my eyes...I love it! Seriously, in most cases the man's gloomy, serious, and most of all, with a sharp chin. The fact that this guy has sound roundness on him makes him look like Mr. Increadible from The Increadibles...dressed up as Batman. Great work Ceasar!
Concur on art appraisal. Sketchiness is very moody, just like the Bats. You can tell he's thinking only one thing: "My parents are dead."
Until about a year ago, I would've agreed with the DC sentiments. Their major properties are really, really, really lame. However, I've since learned their imprints (e.g. Vertigo) have put out (and continue to put out) some most excellent books, and DC is very strong with their graphic novels. But at the end of the day, it's not a DC vs Marvel battle. It's which authors they hire. A good author can take a lame property, turn it on its head, and make it rock.
