Part of a new species I've been working on!

Ash Fairies (also known as Explosion Fairies) are a type of fire elemental fairy that sprinkles fairy dust that is similar to gun powder. The powder itself is water resistant and a bit more potent, making them popular with miners (especially Dwarves). In fact, they work so closely with Dwarves that many of them adopt their mannerisms. They are also known to work as jewelers, their small size and four arms helping them with intricate designs and detailing.

Their body is varying shades of orange and yellow (they have a thermal-like coloring/glow), and their wings black with red, orange, and yellow specks. Their hair is commonly between red and yellow, with red and yellow specks, but rarely (like the one shown here), they have black hair that matches their wings. They usually end up growing to around 6" tall.

Aithne (who usually goes by Ai), is a confident, outgoing alchemist. Trained in a big city by a famous alchemist, her main way of making money is refining Ash Fairy powder, but she also makes medicines and other things as well as selling supplies she gathers. Her free time consists of either exploring or having a drink at the Powderkeg, a bar that is also in town, owned by another Ash Fairy.
